Chris has 28 years experience in residential and light commercial construction, including ten years of building and structural design. He is fascinated by materials innovation and building science. New building codes require different means, methods and products to achieve desired results. Chris’ diligence keeps Halvorson-Mason a regional leader in this area. He worked as the superintendent of construction at Little Whale Cove for five years. After seven years as the vice-president of another construction group, Chris returned to Halvorson-Mason as an owner. Clients prize Chris’s excellent communication skills and his experience in building for a coastal climate.

Halvorson-Mason has a proud history as a development and construction company in Oregon. The founder and lead partner of the company, Carl M. Halvorson, was named one of the Top Ten Oregonians of the 20th Century by Portland Living Magazine for his “foresight, common sense and integrity” and for his visionary development projects. These include Black Butte Ranch in Sisters, Mountain Park in Lake Oswego and Little Whale Cove in Depoe Bay, considered among the top residential communities in the country.
